Machine safety in industrial settings

Optimum protection for your staff

First and foremost, machine safety is about protecting staff from potential hazards. Using special components from the MB Building Kit System, you can build industrial safety equipment, with examples ranging from guards and doors through to machine enclosures and cabins.

Various panel elements and machine safety barriers can be chosen as appropriate to the application at hand. The resulting guards and enclosures, which comply with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, can be connected directly to the machine base or set up as inherently stable, free-standing solutions. Industry-standard soundproofing hasn’t been overlooked, either.

Enclosure and Guard System for industrial applications

From universal to specialised

Frames, guards and doors from the item Enclosure and Guard System for industrial applications are based on aluminium profiles with grooves, meaning they can be interconnected and extended as necessary using accessories and elements from the MB Building Kit System. Special components for guards and enclosures such as tamper-proof Hangers and door locks boost security levels as required. Everything is mutually compatible so that all tasks can be taken care of with one and the same building kit system.

From XS to XXXL

The MB Building Kit System can be used to build guards and enclosures in any size. Exactly the same principles are applied when constructing a compact protective hood as when building a full enclosure for a production line. Room dividers for industrial use restrict entry to hazardous areas, while integrated gates and lifting doors control access.

Ensure the safety of your staff using purely mechanical means or electrical components. Special Clamp Profiles provide exceptionally secure support for panel elements featured in machine guards and enclosures. Using these special profiles, you can also design guard panels to suit specific requirements.

HOW TO KEEP EVERYTHING SAFE AND SECURE

Choose the solution that best suits your needs

Stationary and mobile guard systems

Harness the benefits of a versatile guard system for industrial applications. Guards and enclosures can be integrated directly into machine frames or be securely connected to them to screen off the areas around machinery. To make it easier to adjust the working area, industrial partitions can also be designed as mobile solutions and built separate to machinery on the factory floor.

Setting up or taking down complete guards is a one-person job. Thanks to the industrial partitions, you can implement secure fasteners, stable floor elements for a firm footing, simple mechanisms for moving machines and factory equipment, or solutions for levelling out uneven flooring with ease.

Lock systems for enhanced safety

Lock systems for enhanced safety

Making guards and enclosures even better

Lock systems don’t just hold doors closed with a basic latching function, they also provide security against unauthorised entry through swing or sliding doors made from inherently stable panel elements. Visual and audible signals can be added or the lock systems can be incorporated directly into the machine’s electronic safety concept, ensuring your machine guards and enclosures are even safer.

Panel elements made from different materials

Guard systems for industrial applications: From transparent to opaque

Due to the wide selection of panel elements available, you can create the perfect balance of safety and functionality. Transparent panels of impact-proof polycarbonate provide an unimpeded view of the machine process, while black panels can be used to darken the view where necessary. Users can even tailor their solution to match their corporate design, thanks to the range of machine safety barriers and colour choices.
