Steady – new Knuckle Foot for Enclosure and Guard Systems

A lot is expected of Enclosure & Guard Systems in industrial applications. On the one hand, they have to reliably protect people from danger and also guard goods against unauthorised access. And, at the same time, do it in such a way that it does not look like a prison or cage.

Using item's MB Building Kit System has become highly popular for this purpose for precisely those reasons. The universally applicable and sturdy profile constructions are available in various gauges to meet different security requirements. Add to this the awardwinning design and you have all the ingredients for a representative system. One decisive interface with the building has always been the point at which the guard system is anchored to the floor. Here, stability and adjustability for compensating uneven floors are the key aspects. After all, high bending moments have to be catered for without the stand profiles being displaced. At the same time, the construction has to keep a "low profile" in that it must not protrude into the working areas and present tripping hazards. The newly developed Knuckle Foot 8 240x160 for Stand Profiles in the MB Building Kit System is a sturdy steel constructions with added value. The profile is screwed in place by means of a slot, which enables adjustments for height and angle to be fine-tuned. Once it has been firmly bolted to the floor and profile, however, it becomes a rock-solid construction due to its material properties and provides considerable resistance against slippage, breakage and deformation. Forces acting on the Enclosure & Guard System are absorbed and dissipated in an exemplary fashion.
